Minuetto Gran Gala is the costume dinner and ball hosted at Palazzo Albrizzi on the last Saturday of the Carnival of Venice 2017. The main features? Candlelight dinner, costumes, dances, classical, baroque and lyrical music. In few words: a multi-sensorial immersion in the XVIII century.

Palazzo Albrizzi, in the San Polo district, is the astonishing venue of Minuetto Grand Gala, one of the top masked balls of the Carnival of Venice, which will take place on Saturday February 25th, 2017 from 09:00 pm.

The artistic director Nevia Capello has designed the programme with the specific goal of allowing participants to enjoy a real leap in the '700, a century characterize by unbridled luxury and exciting madness, culminating with the end of the Republic Venetian.

The setting of Minuetto Gran Gala is the main floor of the Venetian Palazzo Albrizzi, finely decorated with XVII century stucco and frescoes by Tiepolo’s school.


The Gala

Every aspect of Minuetto Gran Gala is designed to recreate with high accuracy the atmosphere of an eighteenth-century noble party. 
Butler and valets, in livery elegantly dressed, will serve typical venetian courses of XVIII cent. on tables decorated with chandeliers and floral triumphs.

It will be a candlelight dinner characterized by soft pastel painting colors, exalted by the reverberated sound of authentic violins. This is not just a dinner with fine food and fine wines, nor just a masquerade ball: Minuetto Gran Gala is an extraordinary immersive experience that engages all the senses.

The soundtrack of this experience is totally live, with baroque ensemble and professional opera singers who will sing Mozart's arias from "Magic Flute" and "Così Fan Tutte".

With the progress of the party the Maitre de Dance and his helpers will guide the guests in dancing. Among the funniest moments it will be the dances of the “bozzetto comico” by the nineteenth-century poet Attilio Sarfatti: the "Minuetto" to which Gala is inspired, and whose theme is a love affair originally set in a context similar to the one offered by Albrizzi Palace.

Music, dance, culinary delights, fine wines, as well as the Palazzo Albrizzi magic atmosphere, guarantee a dream night for a refined and international public.
The exclusivity and privacy are guaranteed by the membership-card which represents the title of participation in the event.
